IKhaya activists is a community of people from all over the world who make a difference in South Africa by making a monthly donation (no matter how big or small) to support a child and their family – physically, spiritually, educationally, socially and emotionally. This support comes through our three programs: After-School Care, Community Development and Parent Centre.
What can each iKhaya Activist expect?
- Regular communication about how iKhaya is doing through our newsletters and updates on Facebook.
- You will be linked with a child at iKhaya as your donation directly affects them. You will receive quarterly feedback regarding them and their family’s progress during the previous quarter.
- Invitations to special events and opportunities to connect with the family that you are supporting.
- Inspiration from other iKhaya Activists who are doing amazing things to raise funds and create awareness about the change that iKhaya le Themba’s “Home of Hope” is making in South Africa.
iKhaya is looking for Activists who will become a part of the iKhaya Community as we support our children and their families living in townships and struggling with really difficult issues including poverty, HIV/AIDS, learning difficulties, trauma and other stressors.
These Activists also occasionally “stretch their legs” and come up with interesting ways to fundraise for us – from cycling or running races, to holding crazy and creative events!
